ISLAMABAD - The Danish Minister for Development and Cooperation visited Islamabad Model Schools for Boys and Girls, Saidpur, Islamabad, on Friday to find out ways to support educational institutions.
The Danish Minister Christian Fiirs Bach along with Country Representative UNICEF Dam Rohrmann with his delegation visited one of the rural area schools of Saidpur.
The Governments of Pakistan and Denmark have signed the second phase of Frame Work Programme to support Pakistan in its efforts to reconstruct infrastructure and support for education in federal areas, strengthening democracy, human rights and gender equality.
The delegation was warmly welcomed by Senior Joint Secretary, Capital Administration and Development Division, Asghar Choudhry, and Director General (Education) Federal Directorate of Education Dr. Shahnaaz Anjum Riaz. Sr. Joint Secretary and Director General (Edu) briefed the delegation about Educational Services in ICT and had fruitful deliberations. The visitors remained in the Schools for more than an hour and witnessed various presentations by students, which were highly appreciated by the guests.
