Zardari can never claim innocence, says Mumtaz Bhutto
KARACHI - Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leader Sardar Mumtaz Ali Bhutto has said Zardari can never claim his innocence in the Swiss case as he has not been trialed and acquitted.
In a statement issued here on Thursday, he said Zardari would remain guilty in his entire life, as according to the law, an accused in a corruption case was guilty until proven innocent.
In the last tenure, Zardari and his companions looted the country with both hands.
Mumtaz further added that National Accountability Bureau had discovered that Zardari has 27 bank accounts and the property of about two billion dollars in various countries and that remained a record.
“The new chairman has all along been in a very good position to have personal knowledge of the defiant loot and plunder. He may earn a prominent place in history with his conduct,” he added.
