PANJGUR: At least three security forces’ personnel were killed and two others injured during a clash with miscreants in the Panjgur area of Balochistan on Saturday, DawnNews reported.
Security forces’ personnel were on a routine patrol when miscreants opened fire on them in the Prom area of Panjgur in Balochistan. Subsequently, three Frontier Corps (FC) personnel were killed and two others were wounded. Moreover, three assailants were killed during retaliatory firing.
The injured FC persons were shifted to the Panjgur District Hospital.
In a separate incident, FC personnel and police conducted a joint targeted operation in Gwadar and detained 11 suspects. According to security sources, four suspects were wanted in criminal activities and seven were illegal travellers to Europe via the route in Iran.
Meanwhile, a woman was killed during a landmine explosion in Dera Bugti. The woman, wife of a farmer, stepped on a landmine laid in the field while working, which exploded. She was taken to the Dera Bugti Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
